Well, I’d been listening to Emiliana for a few years (yes, she did Gollum’s Song from LOTR) but there is much more to her than that given me being a soundtrack fan. I picked up her two previous efforts (and have the singles and remixes too. Good stuff. To make a note from a blog entry of somebody else and paraphrasing it; while she hails from the location (Iceland) as Bjork, there is definitely much more than the similarity of gender, birthplace and profession that separate these two. WHile I do own a bit of Bjork, and I appreciate her “oddity”, they are two vastly different talents, and I find myself liking Emiliana more and more… doesn’t hurt that she’s cute too!
When I get an official video of a song off the album I’ll post it, this is a fan created version, but the entire album is worthwhile. NPR has a listen to another track here.
