So…. owwwww!

Well, I think I may have fractured my fifth metatarsal in my left foot skiing the other day. Now, it wasn’t from impact per se.. but I had new boots and pushed myself a bit. Now I’m walking around with sharp pain in the outside of my left foot  depending on how aI bend and twist the ankle and apply weight in a certain way. Not fun, but we’ll see. I’m going to try and stay of my feet for long periods (I do have a desk job, so….)<p> On an aside, two other news items… a friend of mine is joining me at my new work place. I look forward to it… should be interesting. On another note, Gaby and I have been looking at consolidating cars for both cost, simplicity and fuel economy. One, today, was the Smart car built by Mercedes Benz and Swatch of all things. Short summary… I didn’t like it. I drive a MINI, so size wasn’t and issue… performance and drivability was. I’d bicycle over having to drive this car on a regular basis. If we go out fordrinks, any of you dear readers, ask me more about it… <p> Oh, and if you’re able and in the DC region, don’t forget to vote on Tuesday.
